I agree about the heat part, but with the air bag system (no harsh shock to the springs), and where it was cut, there has not been a problem for over 25 years with the system. As far as I know it was done this way with the direction of American Carrier Equipment, the maker of the Super Ride system.

The one concern that I have is that the shackle should completely trap the springs to keep them from shifting! So far as you can see there has been none.

Hello  I am new to this site as I just registered a day or so ago. Regarding the side to side leveling of the RV/Motorhome I would have to assume that there is a Ride height adjustment  sensor on each corner of the vehicle  I am basing this off of the self-leveling air suspension system in my 1984 Lincoln MarkVII which I had to overhaul/rebuild/fabricate all 4 bags (1 mounted on each of the rear trailung arm to the chassis adjacent to rear axle and 2 at front from each of the lower control arms to shock tower mount) I have a Ride Height Sensor at each of the front control arms, and a single one in the rear. They  are controlled by internal magnets which send aen electrical current to the onboard Air suspension Module (Similar to an ECM) which then after a 7-12 second delay either sends a Fill or Vent signal which opens each Air-bag or Bags solenoid valve to open to release air or be villed when the Air-Compressor kicks in from recieving the signal from the Air Suspension Module. This enables the front of my car to stay level from left to right while the single rear one compenates for either more or less weight in trunk area keeping my lincoln at the trim level I have set it at empty or full.

Hope this help some,
