I know this doesn't go here but really couldn't find a place for this question. If there is a better place for it please let me know.

I've got a couple of questions about interior remodeling.

    1. I'm redoing the interior and had to replace some paneling I need to find something that I can use to fill the small gaps in between the paneling. Was going to use wood filler but figured with all the movement it would end up cracking so not sure.

    2. Was planning on putting wallpaper back up but someone told me you can't use the regular wallpaper paste you buy at Lowe's/Home Depot, is this true don't see why there would be a difference?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Brian

3M makes a spray on adhesive that works pretty well. Haven't seen it for a while but I'm sure its still around. Really sticks tight so if you plan on taking the paper off sometime, don't use it.

Some use 'screen molding" over the joints. You can get it at a lumber yard. But I do not like to use paneling nails, as they can work out in an RV that is moving. We use 1/4" crown staples, with an air gun. As long as they sink well, we can putty them if we want to make them invisible.
We have re-papered a MH, but we used sizing first, and really good quality pre-mixed wallpaper paste, even if the paper is pre-pasted. The main thing is don't get a "busy" pattern, just something that blends well with the interior, is light colored and subdued.

Hi Cooperhawk. We have used spray on adhesive for lots of things, but with wallpaper you need some "slip", just like when applying solar film. It never goes on exactly where you want it, so you have to be able to move it into position before it sticks. Happy Trails, Penny, TX

Brian,in antique trailers I've redone, I've used plastic strips that matched the colour of the paneling .
The paneling slides into a grove on either side of the strip. The panel has room to move as the trailer does.
Haven't used any in a few years so don't know if the builders stores carry them any more.
