I got one of the manuals for the 1999 and up P30 chassis. As you guys know Workhorse owns the P30 now. I downloaded the manual (10MB). It is not a service manual but it is still helpful.
It is amazing how things just don't change on these P30 chassis. Most everything is still the same!

I wouldn't mind submitting it to the forum for all to have. It is free offline.

The six speed tranny looks awesome! I wish I could stick that on mine.

would love to have a copy as well to compare to our 86 Pace Arrow.  P30 didn't change much over the years.  what most shops don't know is there IS big difference in the way the front end is aligned compared to the P30 truck!

What do you mean that there is a big difference in the way the front end is aligned? How is it different?

send me a PM with your em address and i will forward you what we have found.  it is  AMAZING!!!!!! what the alignment techs need to know to properly align a motorhome p30 instead of the truck p30.

most of it they cannot come up with so it becomes a guessing game, at our expense.

the good news is that once you have the info written down that this outlines, you will have a good and correct alignment everytime.  with tires and other wear parts with such a high cost today, everything we can do to defer those expenses are a benefit.

i've been looking for manuals (service and other) regarding all things mechanical

not having much of a background 'under the hood' so to speak, i'm going in blind and innocent in repairing my 1985 345. For example, today I figured out from here and airforums how to put a V belt to run around the alternator, water pump, crank and smog thing. Smog thing won't turn making the new belt squeal like the old belt did before it broke. I can either get a shorter belt or fix the smog thing!

    Anyway.

I too would like a copy of your manual. Is there a way to add attachments to posts? If not, could you forward to elbundi@gmail.com . Many thanks

    Andy

as a gm tech myself i have aligned these beast, for the i-beam front axle there's not much to adjust, just inspect for worn king pins and steering linkage items, measure and set toe-in, now the independent front end ends that a hole new ball game. more items wear, and weight front and rear have a huge effect on camber and toe-in angles, the 2 biggest eaters of tires, aligning these things is simular to trucks, but the weight has to be figured in. commerial lt. duty trucks and contrator vehicles are to same. these guy pack 2 tons of s**t in a 3/4 ton van and than want to know the tires are worn, when you load the back of the coach, it lowers, but the front raises which changes the camber[ the in-ward or out-ward tilt of the tires ] in negetive, out positive. which will also change to toe to increase to move toe-in also. just as i have read people talk about weight for tire pressures, weight and tire pressure effect alignment, if your alignment shop has the lift abilty, iwould ask them if you should load the coach as if you using for a trip. i once had a guy with a little chevy car that we aligned and replaced tires, he came back a month later eating tires, we rechecked for free and found no problem, to make a long story short it was his wifes car, and she was a rather large person, so to correct to problem we aligned the vehicle with her sitting in the driver's seat, the same problem can happen with coachs.
