Hello Everyone,

My name is Eric And I was just gifted with a 1978 Dodge Chassis Cruise-Air 28.

On the underhood tin plate it reads along with the V.I.N. 1978 DodgeM500

The MotorHome runs well, but the friend who followed me home said that it was listing quite remarkably from left to right as I went around corners. Also came with an allegedly functional replacement generator in its cubby-hole, however it is not wired to anything it is just sitting there. As I know next to nothing about these vehicles any help Form this site would be just great. If any one has any of the manuals or links to sites, etc. for the repair and maintenance of this RV I would be grateful, what I am hoping to see would cover the chassis and the electrical wiring including the cabin?

Thank you all,

Eric Gorman (email: gorm4660@yahoo.com)

Gorm, Look inside the hole where your power cord comes out. Most times they run a plug over to where you can plug the home cord right into the generator. There are aftermarket boxes like the one I got for this coach its a crossover switch where if you loose power or you want to use something while on the road you can and then when you get to wherever you are going you hook up the plug to the exterior power and then you can shut off the generator.

Hey thanks for the info about the external power supply. I ended up pulling the generator out and fo through it and had it up and generating power in about a day and a half. Re-installed it in the RV, got it all wired in. so one step in the project done.
