    I'm in the market...
What do y'all have for a garage?
I see a few photos from the inside...
How about some overall outsides and how built?
Looking at concrete blocks up a few courses, then wood frame with metal the rest way up.

    Post photos here

30x50 with 14' side wall. 14x14 sliding door made from same material used on rest of building. You will need to insulate the roof, with our humid air down here, it will rain inside if you don't!
Here is a couple of shots of the building. DO NOT put any clear panels in the roof. If you want that, place them in the side of the building.

Makes a great Dog house! I have a bathroom, gas, RV hook up in the floor, and a 10,000 lbs 2 post lift! If I'm real trouble, not a bad place to wear out the storm!

No it is what they call 2 post.  Bought it from Greg Smith Equipment, 2 grand! It mounts to the floor via drilled holes and anchors. I used 4,000 lb concrete, wire and fiber reinforced with 6" thick under the lift area.

I thought that I had a pic of it, don't find it, will have to get you one!

    Like the looks of yours...
    Wood frame?
    More photos of inside please.
    Roof pitch? Roof trusses?
Why no clear panels in roof? was thinking about using three.

Do you know, or want to admit cost of just building, no utilities, no slab. ?

My lift has to be buried 10', main reason never installed.

I will get you some shots of the inside.

It is a pole building. 6x6 treated post and wood stringers and trusses on 10' center line. Back up in Missouri that would have to be 8' center. No big snow load down here.

The pitch is I think 4/12.

The reason that you don't want clear panels in the roof, is the sun over years deteriorates the plastic and will leak! Also when you insulate the roof, this area will not be insulated and will sweat very bad, so you will have indoor rain. I have used the panels in the side walls and that works just about as good. With the high hight of the roof, the concrete truck backed right in for the pore.

4 years ago this cost us just under 12k. They had it up in 4 days and I did the rest of the work on plumbing, floor and electric. The floor cost just over 3k for the concrete and labor.

One of the reason for the 2 post lift, I can take it with me if I need to! Also the cost of placing the one you have in the ground and installed, probably will be what you can buy a new 2 post lift for.

30x50? to small for having room for the 310 and room to work on other things. Like the idea of Cooperhawk's 40x60. I would say that would be the min. if you are going to put in the lift.

Good luck, will get you some more photos.

Snow load?  Did someone say snow load?

Here are some shots of my 40x60 pole shed.  I only have a crushed rock floor and portable heat so it's not fancy.  I have a separate shop closer to the house.

During the Winter I store antique cars and motorhomes in the shed and right now you can barely walk around in there.  Then, in the summer its all mine!

Disregard the phone number on the sign.  No longer works.

We are under a new Winter Snow Warning again today.  Up to twelve inches they say.  Oh well, got my snowmobile tuned up and ready to go.  Lake behind the house is perfect for riding.  Thats after I get out the snow plow and plow the driveways.  Mine and two neighbors.

Took some last night, have not down loaded yet. Sorry!

You can do the side, you will still have a 10 foot opening. You will have to do a slider door to keep the hight, or a roll up door. The 2 post lift I have will go in a 12' high shop. I went with the 14' (about 13'3" door hight) for high profile trailers and RVs. You never know what you might get next.

    Hey,
Those are great shots... I can do that!

I'm having a tough time looking at the building construction...
So many cool projects to check out.

What is your rafter spacing and the boards that span them size?

The rafter spacing is on 10' centers. On the roof spanning between the truss' are 2x4's standing on end, and the side walls are 2x4's on their side. Both are on 2' centers.

Guy, I had a local salesman from Banner Buildings arrange the construction. The company is Tennessee Structures out of Eagleville, TN. This is the second building they have built for me, the other only 10 foot high.

I had to get all the permits and they supplied the drawings to the city for the engineer.

Just do some checking around. Look at some of the building built by them if at all possible, that is what I did the first building. Second one not a question about it! I know that you can get some good deals on a building kit, BUT you have to do all the work. They had mine up in 4 days!

Good luck. Let me know if I can be of any further help.
