Hi, I just registered. Great site. I'm in the Austin Texas area and have admired motorhomes since a wee girl. I'm not so wee anymore, but still always find myself stopping to study different RVs wherever I go. I especially love the older ones with so much character! Wouldn't mind having one with a pop-out for the xtra room, but wouldn't want to give up all of the flavor that the new ones are either missing or charge $200,000 for. ;-() So, I am in processes of maybe hopefully buying a motorhome form some co-workers who have a 20' Dodge Huntsman from 1977 to sell. From what they say and the picts its in great condition, runs, drives, and pretty much everything but the generator is in working condition. New stuff too like a microwave, fridge, and energy efficient A/C unit. I am just concerned cuz I can't find anything online about Huntsman motorhomes. Does anyone have one? Does anyone have any words of wisdom or advice for a potential 'old rv' club member? I am taking it to an RV shop for a pre-buy exam on the engine, but other than that not sure what to look for besides leaks. Thanks for your time and info! ~Leah RV Info - '77 Dodge Model F30 360 Engine |

Hi Gang! Just purchased a 1984 Airstream Classic 310 Limited. Needs lots of work to restore it to it's former glory. Although new to this forum my wife and I have owned 12 or 13 RVs since 1969. I restored a 1963 AS trailer but the motorhome is much more complex and parts don't seem to be readily available. BTW anyone have any experience with Banks Powerpack on 454 AS motorhomes ? I am considering the Banks as part of the restoration. Is it worth the 2 grand plus and the hassle of installing for what it provides? Help me Obi Wan Kenobi you're my only hope. |

Hi everyone, First, Doc Deaver's is a combination of my first name and my partners second name. I'm doc and my pard is Bonnie, Bonnie is a he by the way, any who we are two old Vets that met in a VA hospital in Texas and hit it off pretty good. We are thinking about buying a coach or a trailer which ever is large enough and in the price range, then making the rounds of the music and arts festivals as vendors. So far we've been stumbling through the online mine field looking for wholesalers and advise etc. but everyone wants a fee, we're not adverse to plunking down some bread for good advise but don't want to play Russian Roulette, anyone know a good directory thats not a rip please let us know any other advise would be cool as well about BLM camping and senior camp discounts and related topics we would love to hear from you. Thanks |
